Darjeeling

Named for the region of West Bengal that made this tea famous, Darjeeling tea is as complex to discuss as it is to taste.  This tea is made from the Chinese variety (var. Sinensis) of tea tree grown in India.  Plantation farming of this type of tree goes back as far as the 1840's.

Brew Time: up to 4 minutes

Taste: Lightest of the teas in the "Black Tea" family.  Our Darjeeling tends to be soft and floral with sweet undertones and a muscatel finish.
