This coffee is grown in the region of Huila, Colombia and comes from a small, family run mill in Neiva, which is owned and operated by the Valencia family.  The Valencia family has been a mainstay in the coffee collecting and processing business in Huila for over 30 years.  They have quietly discovered the finest growing region in the state.  What is so special about the Huila Valencia that it has generally replaced demand for generic Excelso and Supremo?  The selective sourcing and attention to detail in processing, as well as the idea of a small, independent producer have set the Valencia coffees apart from the big, multinational mills.

Cupping Notes: At City Roast this coffee is full round and sweet.  Apricot and orange citric notes dominate the high notes with creamy smooth milk chocolate tones.
